In Schiller’s poem Ode to Joy, “All men become brothers underJoy’s gentle wings”. The peak of Beethoven’s artistry, his 9th Symphony speaksto the masses: symbolizing hope, unity and human kindness. Beethoven was unableto hear the thunderous applause he inspired, but with this monumental work, hetransformed the symphony into a universal experience.
